Internships & Careers

Career advisement is an integral function of the Department of Economics. Economics majors secure employment with financial, industrial and governmental institutions. Recent graduates have obtained positions at securities firms, banks, insurance companies, the Federal Reserve System and major industrial companies. Several graduates also have launched successful consulting careers and others have gone on to teach at the college level. A bachelor's degree in economics is an excellent foundation for continued graduate studies in economics, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or Doctor of Laws (J.D.).
