Chemistry majors will receive a broad-based education in the disciplines of chemistry that prepares them to effectively compete for employment in industry or for graduate study in chemistry, biochemistry, medicine and other scientific professions.

Students will have fundamental knowledge in one or more specific sub-disciplines of chemistry and be able to apply that knowledge to solving problems.

Students will have the critical thinking, writing and presentation skills to solve complex problems and express the results to a broad audience.
