The Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute created through a generous gift from Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Unanue, aims to provide a space for dialogue and to encourage the research and study of the Latino experience. The Institute works with a particular emphasis on the arts, the sciences and business. The Institute sponsors co-curricular activities, programs and events with a focus on the Latino experience and culture.

Manana Forever

The Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute at Seton Hall University invites you to join us for: Manana Forever. Thursday, September 29, 2011. Jubilee Hall Auditorium. " Manana Forever? Mexico and the Mexicans" Book presentation by Jorge Castaneda, renowned intellectual, political scientist, prolific writer, and former Foreign Minister of Mexico. This is a COMPASS Point Event.

Summit on Latino Immigration

Due to a generous grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation, the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute and the Americas Society will present a summit on Latino immigration, Education and Economic Empowerment. Followed by a special screening of the award winning film “Los que se quedan.” Held at the American Bible Society in New York at 5 p.m.

Enchanted Evening

The Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute at Seton Hall University will host an Enchanted Evening on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. A fundraiser to raise funds for scholarships for Latinos students. Held at Rayuela Restaurant in NY at 7p.m. Limited access.

Arthur Ainsburg - Seminar on Leadership

The Latino Institute invites you to attend a seminar by Arthur Ainsburg, Chief Operating Officer of Lehman Brothers Inc. in Liquidation on leadership based on his best seller book “Shackleton: Leadership Lessons from Antarctica.” Held at Seton Hall University Centre Main Lounge at 6 p.m.
