Unanue Latino Institute will be hosting a series of events across many disciplines on Latin American topics ranging from Latino immigration, leadership and the arts, to business, national and international politics and science.

  • "Current Economic and Political Trends in Latin America", a lecture from Dr. Fernandez, ex-President of the Dominican Republic. September 23 at 6:30pm at the Chancellor’s Suite. In conjunction with the School of Diplomacy.
  • Women’s Leadership Program Fall Kickoff Dinner. In partnership with the Gerald P. Buccino '63 Center for Leadership Development at Stillman Business School, we are bringing Dr. Castro as the keynote speaker. September 30 at 6pm at the Chancellor’s Suite.
  • "Impressionism and the Caribbean: Francisco Oller and his transatlantic world", a lecture from Dr. Sullivan, from NYU. October 7 at 6pm at the Beck Rooms A & B. In conjunction with the Museum Professions Department.


Denisse OllerA dynamic, multidimensional communicator with many passions and interests, Denisse is a both a consummate journalist and the Executive Director of the Joseph A. Unanue Institute at Seton Hall University. During her tenure, Denisse has successfully transformed the mission and raised the profile of the Unanue Institute, creating a successful mentorship program linking Seton Hall Alumni with undergraduate and building effective partnerships with the advisory board, key contributors in the corporate and private sector as well as related community based organizations.
