College of Arts & Sciences
Now part of the new College of Communication and the Arts at Seton Hall.

Seton Hall University’s online Masters of Arts in Strategic Communication and Leadership (MASCL) is an 18-month program consisting of a unique, powerful curriculum of leadership and organizational development combined with strategic communication expertise that enables professionals to achieve business success.

As an online student, you truly get the best of both worlds: a dynamic online learning experience grounded in the 150 year history and tradition of Seton Hall University.

Who Should Apply?

MASCL candidates possess 5 years of significant experience in a corporate, military, governmental or nonprofit environment, and are seeking to develop and enhance their communication skills in preparation for greater career responsibilities.

Courses and Residencies

MASCL is an 18-month, 36-credit program consisting of five sequential learning modules that include extensive online interaction with faculty and peers, and an individualized component to enhance presentation and writing skills. MASCL also requires three on-campus weekend residency visits at the beginning, middle and end of the program. Residencies are favored by many students as they allow them to meet face-to-face with their peers and professors in the program.

Certificate Program

For those students who are interested in our program but can't commit to the full degree, we offer 12-credit certificates. Learn more about the certificate program »

The MASCL program allows students to take advantage of Seton Hall University's premier education anytime and anywhere.  Seton Hall's online degree and certificate programs were created with the busy professional in mind. We know the importance of quality online education, which is why MASCL uses state-of-the-art learning technologies in a highly interactive educational environment to help students become leaders in their respective industries.
