MPR courses also help to prepare students for Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), which is offered by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). This earned credential "recognizes practitioners who have mastered the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to develop and deliver strategic communications" (

A recent study by the PRSA (2012) found that 95% of business leaders believe that executives at all levels should have a working knowledge of basic public relations skills.
