How a Degree from Seton Hall Can Advance Your Career
A Ph.D. in Family Psychology provides graduates with a license-eligible degree to become a psychologist. Graduates finish with two license-eligible degrees, earning an enroute master's degree in marriage and family therapy if they do not enter the program with this degree. Graduates use the degree to work in advanced positions in the mental health field, schools, or on college and university faculties.
Graduates of the program work as doctoral-level clinicians and psychologists in mental health facilities, universities, private practices and school systems. They have been licensed in several states as psychologists and, based on their previous or enroute degrees, as marriage and family therapists. These dually licensed professionals enrich the individuals, families and communities they serve. They bring expertise as systemic thinkers with multicultural perspectives to their collaborative work with families, couples, individuals of all ages and other professionals.
