School of Health and Medical Sciences

Applicants interested in the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges. No application outside of ERAS will be considered. Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). All applicants must have successfully completed three years of approved medical or osteopathic school curriculum and currently be in good standing during their fourth year.

A residency selection committee will review each candidate's application carefully. The ERAS applications must be completed in its entirety, including:

  • ERAS Common Application Form (available here)
  • Transcript
  • Photograph
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • USMLE transcript – Part 1 and Part 2 if completed
  • Personal statement – No more than one page in length
  • ERAS-generated curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • ECFMG Certificate – Any foreign medical school graduate must have a current ECFMG Certificate

After reviewing all applications, interviews will be offered to select candidates. Interviews will be conducted in January.
