Writing
The Department of English offers an 18-credit minor in writing that is an ideal complement to any major. It is structured to enable students to tailor the minor to suit their own interests, emphasizing creative writing, expository writing, business and technical writing, or a combination of styles. Literature majors may pursue the creative writing minor. In that case, one writing class will count for both the advanced writing elective in the major and for the writing minor.
