Everything You Need to Know About Russian and Eastern European Studies and Opportunities  

Image of Russian BuildingsThe Slavic Club and Russian and Eastern European Studies Program will host a Globetrotters meeting on Thursday, September 30th, 2021, 6:30 p.m., in 236, Fahy Hall, and via Microsoft Teams.

Presentations with recent and current SHU'S Globetrotters include:
1. Allison Wrubel, who traveled to Ukraine
2. Bennett Davies, who currently is studying in Moscow
3. Hunter P Charles, who journeyed through Iceland
4. Delaney L Cha, who is currently studying in Ireland
5. Alice E Kaplan has travelled to Spain
6. Kelly Tobin, last year's Boren recipient, who will tell us how to obtain this prestigious
Scholarship
7. Peter S Eggerding, who will share his experience on how he has procured the Critical Language Scholarship, CLS, which afforded him to participate in the Intensive On-line Russian Learning this summer, studying Russian 40 hours a week with the State Department through the University of Lobachevsky in Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.

In the 2nd part of this event REESP's Director, Dr. Matusevich, from our History Department, will explain how to obtain a Certificate and/or minor in Russian and East European Study Program, (REESP) and will inform us about lectures and other events sponsored by the Program; about opportunities for studying Russian at SHU, and how to join our award-winning Slavic Club.

Please come and learn about studying abroad and how to obtain the prestigious CLS, Boren and Fulbright scholarships, and a certificate, and/or a minor Russian and East European Studies Program (REESP).
