Market Research Center Hosts Fifth Annual Pair Up with the Pirates  

Recently, the Market Research Center hosted its fifth annual Pair Up with the Pirates: Networking & Awards Reception. This year marked the first time the event was held virtually.

Students, business professionals, and other members of the SHU community had the opportunity to meet on Microsoft Teams. The networking activity was followed by an awards reception recognizing business partners for their outstanding Market Research and Business Consulting projects. Business honorees included Mark Aromando (Alpine Montessori); Anthony Casella & Alex Malecki (Iona Preparatory School); Karen Roche (Kings Food Markets); Shannon Schmitt (Write on Sports); and Greg Scott (SoundPrint).

Market Research Center Advisory Board Member Marce Zuchovicki was given the Center's first Key Contributor Award in recognition of her dedication to students and the market research program at the Stillman School of Business. Students were also honored for their exceptional work, including Nicholas DiBari '21, Christina Zipse '21, Michael Pascal '20, and Mario Sirico '20.

"Thank you to our business partners for giving our students an opportunity to participate in real world market research," remarked Adam Warner, Director of the Market Research Center.

Since the Market Research Center was founded in 2010, 270+ semester-long projects have been completed for a wide variety of businesses, such as nonprofits, start-ups, and global industry-leaders including Goya Foods, Merck Animal Health, and the United States Army.
