What is the Seton Hall University ID Card?
The ID Card is the official identification card of the Seton Hall University. It is the product of the ID Card office, located in Duffy Hall room 63.

What is the card used for on-campus?
The ID Card is used for many things on campus, including:

  • Personal Identification
  • Access to Campus Buildings
  • Meal Plan Access
  • Pirate's Gold Purchases
  • Rec. Center Access
  • Access to Campus Events

Pricing and Other Information
The cost of the ID Card is as follows:

  • For a new Student ID, the initial one is FREE.
  • For a new Faculty/Staff ID, the cost is FREE (with Faculty/Staff ID Authorization form).
  • For a replacement ID for a lost or stolen card, the cost is $35.00.
  • For a temporary card, the cost is $20.00 users fee for seven business days only.

How do I get an ID Card?
Students that have uploaded and submitted their photos before June 6, 2023 can come to campus any time to pick up their ID cards at the Campus ID Office in Duffy Hall Room 63 or pick up ID card during New Student Orientation. Please note the Campus ID Office is observing summer hours. If you have not uploaded a photo, please do so as soon as possible.

Do I really need an ID Card?
If you are a student, faculty, or staff, you will need the ID Card for many things, from security access to campus buildings to gaining access to your meal plan. The ID is also needed on-campus for identification services, meaning that Security will accept the ID as a form of identification and will, in many cases, ask for it.

What is Pirate's Gold?
The Pirate's Gold account is part of your I.D. card and works like a debit card. It's a unique money management system activated through each faculty, employee, and student's I.D. card. After depositing money into your personal Pirate's Gold account, purchases made with your card will be debited from your account.

Who can use Pirate's Gold?
Everybody that has a valid Seton Hall University ID card can get and use Pirate's Gold on and off campus.

    8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. - Monday through Friday 
     
  • Summer
  • 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. - Monday through Thursday
