The Petey Greene Program is an independent non-profit that supplements education in correctional institutions by providing individualized tutoring. Petey Greene partners with DOVE to send Seton Hall undergraduates to serve as tutors at Northern State Prison. Tutors provide after-class tutoring by working individually with students in the prison’s law library.
Seton Hall tutors typically volunteer one session a week. Once assigned a time slot, volunteers are required to attend the same time every week for an entire semester. Tutors can volunteer on Mondays or Tuesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Students interested in tutoring adults at the secondary or basic education levels are encouraged to visit the Petey Greene website and to contact DOVE for more information.
Mondays & Tuesdays, 2:30 - 6 p.m.
