Dr. Mary Ellen RobertsSecond Faculty Retreat,  Leadership and Courage: A Conversation on Courage and Faith
Directed by Dr. Mary Ellen Roberts
November 19, 2014

Courage is defined as mental or moral strength to venture, persevere and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.  The focus of this retreat will be the convergence of courage and leadership in the context of sacrifice, perseverance and difficulty.  What does courage mean in our everyday lives? How does courage relate to leadership in our professional lives?  Is our spiritual life an integral part of our leadership abilities?

Mary Ellen Roberts, DNP, FAAN, FAANP, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing.  She is currently serving as Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.  She has lectured nationally and internationally on leadership and role development of the nurse practitioner.

All faculty retreats are held 9 to 11 a.m. in the Chancellor's Suite, Student Center.
