Since Jorge Mario Bergoglio assumed the papacy in March 2013, he has personified the world altering impact of a transformative servant leader. His deeds and genuine humility have garnered him praise the world over. His Argentinian culture, education as a scientist, and Jesuit formation as a priest have affected his leadership approach. This retreat will reflect on how all these factors have nurtured and influenced him.

Jose L. Lopez. PhD, is an Associate Professor of Physics. He is a world-renown expert in atmospheric plasmas and microplasmas;some of his discoveries and ideas have led to new cutting-edge technologies. He is the founder and director of the Laboratory for Electrophysics &Atmospheric Plasmas (LEAP) in the Department of Physics.
