Since Jorge Mario Bergoglio assumed the papacy in March 2013, he has
personified the world altering impact of a transformative servant
leader. His deeds and genuine humility have garnered him praise the
world over. His Argentinian culture, education as a scientist, and
Jesuit formation as a priest have affected his leadership approach. This
retreat will reflect on how all these factors have nurtured and
Jose L. Lopez. PhD, is an Associate Professor of Physics. He is a
world-renown expert in atmospheric plasmas and microplasmas;some of his
discoveries and ideas have led to new cutting-edge technologies. He is
the founder and director of the Laboratory for Electrophysics &Atmospheric Plasmas (LEAP) in the Department of Physics.
