Catholic Studies Student Accepted to Medical School

Nick Cozzerelli Senior, Mr. Nick Cozzerelli '19, Biology Major and Catholic Studies and Italian double minor is accepted Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University. Nick, who is part of the Catholic Studies family, recently spoke with us about how his degree in Catholic Studies minor helped and will help him in medical school and in the medical profession. This is what Nick had to say:

"My faith has always directed me in all aspects of my life. Being a Catholic Studies minor has helped to mature my faith and has inspired the level of care I aspire to give in my near future. My experience on the Catholic Studies pilgrimage in the course "Italy in the Footsteps of the Saints" with Dr. Ines A. Murzaku was deeply therapeutic for me. I reflected on my entire experience throughout my undergraduate education in my prayers and felt my calling to this field even more strongly. I felt comforted being in the presence of the greatest shrines, relics, and churches in the world. I waited multiple long Cozzarelli at St. Petersmonths to hear this news but the pilgrimage's lessons of the lives of the saints taught me the importance of patience, a quality all physicians need to have. I could not have done this without my spiritual guidance. My prayers were answered!"
