Strategically Located A Texas Tale

The School of Diplomacy at Seton Hall University, located in South Orange, New Jersey, is just 14 miles from New York City, is an ideal location for a School focused on international relations. The New York/New Jersey metropolitan area is home to the United Nations, Wall Street, and many of the world's leading international businesses, diplomatic missions, public policy think tanks, and other nonprofit organizations. With this location come numerous opportunities for our students to experience diplomacy while they study it: through required graduate and undergraduate internships, summer or full-time jobs and contact with diplomatic practitioners and business leaders.

The School of Diplomacy has capitalized on its proximity to New York City by establishing alliances and relationships with the United Nations community and other international and public policy organizations. These relationships serve as a bridge between Seton Hall and the world of international diplomacy, providing our students with a unique opportunity to observe and participate in global policymaking.

Liz Peabody came all the way from Houston, Texas to attend the School of Diplomacy because she felt the size of the campus and proximity to New York City would help her in her goal to combine her interests of study: journalism and foreign affairs.
