Seton Hall Esports Announces Tryout Schedule

Seton Hall esports players competing in big east tournamentSeton Hall University's Esports Program invites interested students to try out for its three competitive teams: League of Legends, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Aspiring gamers now have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and vie for a spot on the University's prestigious esports roster.

"We are thrilled to welcome new talent to our esports program," said Victor Gomez, Esports Manager. "The tryouts present a fantastic opportunity for gamers to showcase their skills and passion for esports, and we look forward to assembling competitive teams that will represent our university with pride."

Students interested in participating must complete the Esports Tryout Registration form. All tryouts will be held in Jubilee Hall, Room 524, located on the 5th floor.

Rocket League

Rocket League, the fast-paced vehicular soccer game, is looking for two talented substitutes, with priority given to those ranked B+ or higher in 6-mans. Tryouts will be held on Thursday, September 7th at 7 p.m.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the iconic fighting game, is on the lookout for substitute players to join the team and showcase their prowess on the virtual battleground. SSBU tryouts will be held on Thursday, September 14th at 7 p.m.

League of Legends

League of Legends tryouts will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at 7 p.m. The team is actively seeking substitutes with a preferred rank of Emerald or higher.

Seton Hall's League of Legends are 2x BIG EAST Champions. The University's Rocket League team has consistently ranked in the top 32 in North America for six consecutive seasons, claiming the BIG EAST Championship in 2022 and 2023, as well as the Season 3 Electronic Gaming Federation’s National Championship.
