Financial literacy is an important factor of our daily lives.  It is essential and useful during your college years and after graduation.  Having knowledge of budgeting, managing your credit, identity theft and savings are all very important steps to becoming a money-wise individual.

Better Money Habits: Khan Academy (an online tutoring and learning site) and Bank of America have partnered to provide online education about credit and money facts that is great for students.  They have short videos like “What is the difference between a credit score and credit report?”, “Steps to help you get out of debt” and “Easy ways to save on everyday expenses”.   This information is important for students with the financial aid that depends on having good credit. 360degrees of Financial Literacy is a free program to help us understand our personal finances through every stage of life. Sponsored by the nation’s certified public accountants, it contains a “Student Budget” calculator. Use this calculator to help analyze your budget as a full-time student. This calculator is specifically designed to help students understand their expenses and income while attending a university, college or other full-time educational institution.
