Public Health Statistics Continue to Improve; States, Cities Remove Mask Mandates

The good public health news persists. University case counts remain very low. Thank you for doing your part to keep yourselves healthy.

States, cities and universities throughout the nation are relaxing their mask mandates. Reports indicate the CDC will be amending its masking guidance.

The HICT continues to meet regularly, analyzing local, state, and federal government guidance along with public and campus health statistics to inform any adjustments to the University’s health and safety protocols. We will provide an update regarding Seton Hall’s indoor mask mandate. For now, the University’s indoor mask mandate remains in place.

You can read more at:

Indoor Mask Requirement

All individuals (vaccinated and unvaccinated) are required to wear a mask at all indoor, nonresidential, on-campus University settings, except when alone or dining.

We continue to provide free upgraded (surgical) masks at various locations: Walsh Library (circulation desk- 2nd floor); Schwartz Hall (2nd floor – student welcome desk); Bethany Hall (1st floor- student welcome desk); Mooney Hall (Center for Academic Success- student desk); the security desk at the Law School entrance; the IHS campus security desk; and at the Student Services IHS campus desk (1st Floor, Room 1517).

A wealth of vaccination and testing information is available in previous HICT updates.

We are providing a second vaccination clinic (also open to the local Essex County communities) on the South Orange campus on Monday, February 28 (please note date change) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Bethany A. You may register for this clinic here.
