Meet the Team

The OIP team warmly welcomes you to Seton Hall. We are ready to assist you in your study abroad and international student needs. Please come in during our office hours or make an appointment to meet with our staff to discuss any questions you may have about the programs offered by OIP.


Douglas Cantelmo
Director of Study Abroad and Global Engagement
Program Director, Rome Connection
Doug joined the Office of International Programs in 2021. In his role as Director of Study Abroad and Global Engagement, Doug leads the global outbound operations at Seton Hall. Doug is a double alumnus of St. John's University and spent over six years at his alma mater growing, designing and leading immersive study abroad programs on-the-ground in Rome. Beyond Italy, Doug has traveled through five continents and is excited to share his passion for international education with the Seton Hall community. He is focused on creating engaging platforms for cultural immersion. Doug is here to help every Seton Hall student translate their passions into life-changing study abroad experiences!

Katsumi Kishida
Director of International Student Services
Katsumi joined the Office of International Programs in August 2023.In her role as Director of International Student Services, Katsumi leads the global incoming international student operations at Seton Hall. She has 20 years of experience in International Education and is an expert in international student mobility. Her areas of expertise are International Student and Scholar Services, F-1/J-1 regulatory compliance, education abroad, and global programming initiatives. Originally from Japan, she earned her B.A. in International Relations at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan and earned her M.A. in International Education at Teachers College, Columbia University as an F-1 international student herself. Katsumi has turned her passion into her lifelong career, supporting international students on campus as well as creating and supporting global initiatives on various campuses. Katsumi is here to nurture a welcoming and supportive campus community for international students!

Andrea Hundley
International Student Advisor + ESL Coordinator
Andrea joined the Office of International Programs in May 2023. As DSO, Andrea provides support to and advises international students.  Prior to joining Seton Hall, Andrea worked in various capacities in higher education, not-for-profits, and state agencies.  Andrea ‘s study abroad experience includes Spain, Peru, and France.  Her most transformative international experience was serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa.  Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and energetic dog, Serena.  Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Relations from Clark University in Worcester, MA, and a Master of International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.

Timothy Dziekan
Graduate Assistant (Study Abroad)
Joining the Office of International Programs in 2023, Tim is responsible for facilitating the application process for students that plan to study abroad. He is also heavily involved in promoting the study abroad programs that OIP offers. Tim brings a student’s perspective to the department - his first trip to Europe was through Seton Hall’s study abroad program. He received his BA in Economics and Political Science from Seton Hall. When he’s not working, Tim enjoys going to the beach and cooking food for his friends.

Lauren-Marie Diawatan
Study Abroad Peer Advisor
Lauren joined the Office of International Programs in the summer of 2022. Her responsibilities on the team include advising students on choosing study abroad programs that speak to their individual passions, assisting faculty throughout the process of program launch, and managing the student engagement systems. She studied abroad in France during Summer 2023 in a Public Administration/Political Science course. After graduating from Seton Hall, she intends to pursue a graduate degree in Economics with an interest in pursuing public finance or entertainment economics.

Emilia Fedasz
Study Abroad Peer Advisor 
Emilia joined the Office of International Programs in the Spring of 2023. Her responsibilities on the team include aiding and assisting prospective study abroad students by leading information and advising sessions and responding tos tudy abroad inquiries. Emilia is passionate about studying abroad and uses her own experience of studying in Lisbon, Portugal to assist others during their study abroad application process. Emilia was also a part of the first cohort of Rome Connection in 2023, a freshman spring-embedded study abroad program at Seton Hall. She is preparing for a semester abroad in Cork, Ireland in Spring 2024 and a future semester in London.

Angelina Gonzalo
Graduate Assistant (International Student Services)
After joining OIP in 2022, Angelina has supported the mission of OIP through the implementation of grassroots initiatives geared towards our international students. Among a number of transformative experiences she had at Seton Hall, Angelina participated in the Servant Leadership Experience to Ireland, and, while there, she developed a passion for administrative operations in higher education and has an interest to shape experiential learning programs. More than ever, now a Doctoral student, Angelina is interested in pursuing a career in student advisement, especially working to maximize opportunities for students foreign to the world of higher education.

Jane Eke
Graduate Assistant (International Student Services and Community engagement)
 Jane began working in the Office of International Programs in January 2024. She uses her knowledge of international student services and engagement skills to promote inclusion, togetherness, and vibrant community for international students. She is a Graduate Social Work students and is using her knowledge of social services to engage students who receives services from OIP. She intends to pursue a career in Clinical Social Work after graduation and pursue her Doctorate Degree in Psychotherapy.  She loves dancing with her kids and most importantly, meeting and communicating with people. She is a  bridge builder as she loves to unite people, foster collaboration, and create a sense of community amongst students which she is actualizing in the team.
Areas of Study: Social Work, (MSW),Concentration  in Mental Health and Substance abuse.

Brendan McLean
Student Worker (International Student Services and Digital Outreach)
Brendan began working in the Office of International Programs in June 2022. Brendan uses his skills in Graphic Design and Art to create and design projects that are used by OIP. His major is Animation and he's made signs, posters, flyers, with more to come. He enjoys working out, traveling to the Caribbean, and, most importantly, meeting and connecting with new people. He has a unique perspective in art and design, which helps him come up with great ideas during projects. He intends to pursue a career in animation or graphic design after graduation.

Jedidiah Saezhong
Student Worker (International Student Services)
After joining the team in November of 2023, Jedd has assisted the international student office from the perspective of an international student. Being an international student who started as a freshman, he has provided firsthand information as to how to assist an international student coming to the United States for the first time. He is a physics major in the engineering program hoping to use his experience from the office in a leadership role within his field.
