Money Matters


  • Knapp Scholarship
    Recognizing the benefit of an enriching student experience at Seton Hall University and understanding the impact a broader worldview and international exposure can have for students, Lori Chapin ’94 and Steven Knapp ’93, have chosen to recognize the exemplary work of students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences by assisting to provide a summer study abroad experience.
  • Tomason International Scholarship
    The Tomason International Scholars Endowed Scholarship has been established by Bruce and Carol Tomason. This scholarship supports students seeking an enriching global experience as part of their academic career at Seton Hall.
  • Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
    The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship provides for students of limited financial means a chance to study abroad. In order to apply, students must be receiving Federal Pell Grant. Additionally, applicants must be in good standing and enrolled in study abroad programs of at least three weeks.
  • Freeman Asia Scholarship
    Freeman Asia provides scholarships for students studying abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Students must be a current need-based financial aid recipients, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8, and must be enrolled in study abroad programs in certain Asian countries.
  • Boren Scholarship
    Boren Scholarships provides funding opportunities for students to study less commonly taught languages. The area of interest could be anywhere around the globe. Boren Scholarships promotes long term cultural immersion, therefore, two or more semesters of studying abroad is highly encouraged. In exchange of the funding, students must agree to the NSEP Service Requirement.
  • Critical Language Scholarship
    The CLS Program require students to study intensively in a cultural and language immersion programs oversea. It is initiated by the government to encourage students to study and master critical languages. Applicants must be in four-year undergraduate programs.

  • Studying in Switzerland
    International students in Switzerland interested in scholarships can get them by the Swiss government, from Swiss Universities, or by other organizations such as SEMS. Most of the Swiss government scholarships are granted to postgraduate candidates and researchers, whereas Swiss Universities and SEMS scholarships are granted to Master's and Bachelor's students.
