Grant Success: A Series on Research Grant Phases and Process

Walsh LibraryThe Office of Grants and Research (OGRS) is pleased to organize a series of talks to help faculty and staff understand and navigate the different phases of research grants, forthcoming in April as part of the 2024 Petersheim Academic Exposition.

Attendees will have the opportunities to learn the different tools available to submit a competitive proposal and the different reports, forms and compliance regulations that must be followed to satisfy the sponsor’s and Seton Hall University requirements.

Events will be held in the Silent Study Room of the Walsh Library with two sessions on each topic running in the morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and in the afternoon from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Featured topics and sessions include:

Monday, April 22 – Proposals 101: Find out what you need to know from submitting an application to managing the award.
Tuesday, April 23 – Cayuse Training: Receive practical training on Cayuse, the official submission portal utilized by Seton Hall University for proposal preparation, proposal approval, sign-off of the AOR (GRO) and submission to the sponsor.
Thursday, April 25 – Compliance: Examine the various compliance issues that surround research.
Friday, April 26 – Awards 101: Learn about the post-award process such as managing and implementing the grant, reporting progress and completing the closeout requirements.
