Seton Hall welcomes over 30 exceptionally qualified new faculty members.

Teaching and research are the foundations of higher education. Universities disseminate knowledge, and faculty cultivate knowledge creation and discovery for its students. This academic year, even amidst economic uncertainty in higher education, Seton Hall University seeks to enhance the production of knowledge and learning through intentional reinvestment in hiring new faculty. These new faculty will help us all advance the University's academic vision and its mission to shape a better future.

Seton Hall proudly welcomes 30 new faculty members who bring diverse backgrounds from many academic disciplines. Most of the new faculty are full-time, tenure-track professors who are joining the University.

"I welcome our new faculty to Seton Hall with joy and pride. This incredible group will bring fresh ideas and research, enrich our conversations and engage our students in many ways," said University Provost and Executive Vice President Katia Passerini.

Increasing Seton Hall's academic distinction is rooted in the University's strategic plan, Harvest Our Treasures, and in its commitment to advance academic quality, strategically invest in instruction and research, and in both to enhance interdisciplinarity, equity and inclusion for long-term success.

"At Seton Hall, we are 'leaning in'. We are investing in academics, because our entire community here aspires to work together to educate and mentor our students, to teach them to become servant leaders, lifelong learners and the creative, ethical and competent professionals and global citizens of tomorrow," noted Provost Passerini.

New faculty span across a wide array of academic fields, including humanities, sciences, health professions, business, education, communication and law, in addition to, the University Library and University Core.
