About Us

The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (M.S.O.T.) program at Seton Hall was the first entry-level master's program of its kind in the state of New Jersey. We prepare our graduates to enter the field as competent general practitioners with a strong commitment to the health and well-being of the clients they serve. Our graduates work in hospitals, clinics, schools, community health centers, nursing homes and in home health care. We prepare our students to work with clients in all demographics—whether serving children with developmental disabilities, helping a patient regain the ability to perform daily tasks after a stroke, or working with groups of clients with physical and mental disabilities.

Our Values

We believe in recruiting and retaining a diverse group of students who are committed to developing the moral and ethical judgment required in our learning and clinical practice. We help our students discover their professional identities while guiding them to be servant leaders who will address the healthcare needs of individual clients and communities, and in emerging practice areas. Our students also learn the value of pursuing lifelong learning in an ever-changing professional environment.
