While we are only accepting the amount of deposits which we are able to accommodate in our residence halls through our room selection process and through our freshmen room assignment process, there is a chance we can still wind up with a housing wait list as the demand for housing usually exceeds our housing inventory.
Should this occur, we will organize full-time, registered students into a first year student wait list and a returning student wait list. These lists will be organized using the date of housing deposit payment and distance from home to campus with priority given to students with an earlier deposit date and a further distance from home. Students will be able to monitor their position on the wait list through their Housing Profile on PirateNet and should also read their Seton Hall email for any updates we may send out periodically.
Wait list students are given housing assignments based on the availability of a bed space. When an assigned student cancels their room assignment, a student from the wait list is placed in that vacancy and will be called using the phone numbers on their Housing Application Roommate Survey. In past years we have always been able to accommodate wait listed students by the first day of class in the fall semester.
