 Mobile Device Setup 

 

IOS Devices – Iphone/Ipad

You can set up your mobile device, either iPhone/iPad or Android, to receive your Seton Hall e-mail.  (Instructions for users who have not yet migrated from Miscrosoft Exchange to Miscrosoft Office 365 are on the right.)

Faculty and Employees

  1. Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Add Account

  2. Choose Microsoft Exchange and fill out the preliminary form with the following information and then click next:
    1. E-mail: first.last@shu.edu
    2. Password: Current PirateNet (Active Directory) password
    3. Description: Seton Hall Email
  3. The Exchange form is displayed. Input the following information and click Save to verify.
    1. E-mail: first.last@shu.edu
    2. Server: outlook.office365.com
    3. Username: shortname@shu.edu
    4. Password: Current PirateNet (Active Directory) password
  4. Click Save

 Students 

  1. Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Add Account
  2. Choose Microsoft Exchange and fill out the preliminary form with the following information and then click next:
    1. E-mail: first.last@student.shu.edu
    2. Password: Current PirateNet (Active Directory) password
    3. Description: Seton Hall E-mail
  3. The Exchange form is displayed. Input the following information and click Save to verify.
    1. E-mail: first.last@student.shu.edu
    2. Server: outlook.office365.com
    3. Username: shortname@shu.edu
    4. Password: Current PirateNet (Active Directory) password

Android Device

Faculty/Employee

  1. Open the Android E-mail App

  2. Enter Sign-in details:
    1. E-mail address: first.last@shu.edu
    2. Password: PirateNet / AD Password
    3. Click Next
  3. Select Account type: Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync

  4. Click ok to Active E-mail
 Exchange Server Settings  

If  retrieving account information attempt fails, enter or ensure the following information is present in the fields:

  • E-mail Address: first.last@shu.edu
  • Domain\username: shortname@shu.edu
  • Password: PirateNet \ AD Password
  • Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Ensure to check the box to “Use Secure Connection (SSL)”
  • Click Next
  • Click on the Office365 Remote Security Administration and click OK.
  • Sync Setting – Here you can change the amount of days and weeks to sync mail and the calendar. Change the Sync mail setting to at least 1 or 2 weeks.

Student

  1. Open the Android E-mail App

  2. Enter Sign-in details

    3. Click Next
