Kevin McCabe, Ph.D.
Teaching Fellow
Core Curriculum
Professor McCabe is a constructive theologian who specializes in Catholic systematic theology and ethics. His scholarship focuses on the history of modern Christian thought and theological anthropology. Within this area, he has written about Christian reflection on persons with intellectual disabilities-finding resources within the Christian tradition to think about intellectual and embodied differences, and exploring how persons with disabilities challenge and expand the Christian understanding of the human. His wider interests include ethics and political theology, especially the place of religion in secular society and in the cities of global capitalism. In his writing and teaching he is concerned with the ways in which Christian theology can speak to questions of justice and flourishing in vulnerable communities today.
