Nicolas Dahan, Ph.D.

Professor Dahan joined the Stillman School of Business in fall 2023. 

Previously, he was a tenured full professor of Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship and International Business; as well as the director of the online MBA program at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) for four years. Prior to that, Professor Dahan was an associate professor of IB and/or Business Strategy for 10 years, most recently at Cal State, Monterey Bay; and at Temple University, Fox School of Business, where he served as the academic director of the International Business undergraduate major (500 students). 

Professor Dahan has extensive teaching experience with American institutions, including George Washington University, Tulane University and Baruch College-CUNY, as well as top French business schools (ESSEC, ESCP Europe, Sciences Po), and executive education.

Professor Dahan’s research interests focus mainly on the area of “non-market strategies” (including corporate political activity, corporate social responsibility, corporate philanthropy and corporate governance), as well as the intersection of entrepreneurship, social impact and public policy. His scholarly work has appeared in international refereed outlets such as Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Business & Society, Journal of Business Ethics, International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, Human Relations, Long Range Planning and Strategic Organization. He has been an associate editor of the AOM annual conference for a number of years and also serves on the editorial board of Business & Society, Journal of World Business and Long Range Planning.

Over the past two decades, he has received several teaching and service awards.
