Associate Dean Halpin is a member of the senior leadership team and the School’s Board of Advisers Dean Halpin serves as chief officer leading design, implementation, and strategic assessment activities in the following areas: external affairs, administration, strategy and leadership.

Dean Halpin assists the dean with mission, visioning and future forecasting, branding, organizational culture and process implementation for the college. Dean Halpin helps to set strategy, establish metrics, drive strategic decision-making, and ensure results. She acts as close advisor to the dean, drafting internal and external communications and ensuring effectiveness of processes. Dean Halpin shapes the Board of Advisers as well as internal leadership meetings and teams, particularly in areas related to multi-stakeholder integration and School culture. She serves as the School’s expert on leadership development, including developing leadership programming for students through the Buccino Leadership Institute, women’s empowerment activities, student clubs and organizations, student ambassador programs, etc. She leads the School’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice Initiative and advises the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative for the Buccino Leadership Institute. She also supports the School's research centers.

Dean Halpin serves as the external face of the School, building relationships on behalf of the School. Under this umbrella, Dean Halpin is charged with: Board of Advisers relations; alumni and alumni board relations; donor and donor prospect stewardship as well as supporting Corporation and Foundation relations and grant applications; building partnerships with like-minded organizations, universities, and governments; as well as new study abroad program assistance. Dean Halpin leads all major reputation building events and activities of the School, including the School’s World Leaders Forum, fundraising galas and concerts. Dean Halpin designs and supervises the School’s extracurricular events and activities process to ensure standards of quality, efficiencies and resource allocations are appropriate. Dean Halpin leads marketing and communications efforts for the School, including the School’s website, social media presence, advertising and advises on recruitment communications.

Dean Halpin serves as the primary administrative officer of the School, managing: budgets, personnel, onboarding and supervising student staff, equipment and office environment. She acts as chief of staff in motivating performance for all staff through coaching, personnel development activities, and setting office culture. Dean Halpin forms and leads college wide teams on goal planning and implementation and School visioning. She collaborates across the University and acts as liaison with University offices and particularly with University Advancement. She serves on university-wide committees such as Commencement, Charter Day, Leadership Development related committees and boards, the President’s Advisory Group, Praxis, the Office of International Programs and more.
