My primary research interest is the power of language. I am particularly interested in Japanese language pedagogy and second language acquisition by utilizing cognitive theory, which improves language learning through current brain studies. My interest also focuses on Japanese Buddhism. Religion is metaphysical in which language, mind, and spirit influence each other. Through studies on language, I focus on the power of Buddhist terms that lead to enlightenment. How Buddhists interpret and practice the concepts of non-duality, selflessness, emptiness, and oneness in the past, present and future.
