Assistant Chair/Assistant Professor
Department of Occupational Therapy

I have been an occupational therapist since 1995 and have served in academia for the past 13 years. As a practitioner, I have worked in home care, sub-acute rehabilitation and school-based treatment settings. While I have worked with clients across the life span, much of my practice has been in gerontology with a focus on aging in place. As an occupational therapy educator, I am committed to training competent, compassionate entry-level occupational therapist for work in a complex and diverse healthcare system. My love for teaching was born out of my experience as a level II OT student, when I had the privilege of supervising occupational therapy assistant students. The opportunity to contribute to the learning experience of students is as paramount to me today as it was nearly 25 years ago.

I joined the occupational therapy department at Seton Hall University in July of 2016 as assistant chair. I am fortunate to serve a dynamic faculty and amazing students who make my work a joy. As a leader in the Department, my goals are to actively promote the mission and vision of the program, to assist the program chair in offering a quality learning environment for our students and to support the professional growth of our faculty.

I am excited about the innovative learning opportunities the OT department will offer students on our new interprofessional state of the art campus that includes a full simulation laboratory, access to standardized patients and technologically advanced classrooms.
