Rev. Juan Guillermo Rojas Chavarria, M.Div., M.A.

Born and raised in Antioquia, Colombia, Father Rojas attended the Minor Seminary at Cristo Sacerdote in Yarumal from 2009-2012. After arriving in the United States in 2013, he attended the Rutgers PALS program for English proficiency, then attended Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University from 2013-2019.

  • Ordained to the Transitional Diaconate on May 20, 2018
  • Twice recipient of the Mother Frances Cabrini ESL Award, 2018 and 2019
  • Ordained to the Priesthood on May 25, 2019
  • Recipient of the award for outstanding research on the life and spiritual heritage of Bishop George Ahr, 2019

Father Rojas’ assignments have included:

  • Deacon at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Park Ridge, NJ (2018-2019)
  • Parochial Vicar at St. Stephen Church, Kearny, NJ (2019-2020)
  • Parochial Vicar at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Bayonne, NJ (2020-present)
