Sports Poll In the Media

In its more than 10 years of existence, the Seton Hall Sports Poll, conducted by the Sharkey Institute, has played a significant role in adding the public’s opinion to the media conversation regarding various controversial subjects in and around the world of sports. Issues such as performance enhancing drug use, recruiting abuses, head injuries in football, gambling, general bad behavior by athletes and specific reactions to the likes of Tiger Woods, LeBron James, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Alex Rodriguez, et al., have all been featured in polls over the years.

The Seton Hall Sports Poll has had results presented by ESPN on shows like Outside the Lines and SportsCenter (as well as ESPN the Magazine and the ESPN website) and has upon occasion been commissioned by the cable network to poll on certain issues.

In addition, results have been featured by the New York Times, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, CNBC, ABC, CBS, Bloomberg News, the Associated Press and countless newspapers and magazines as well as TV and radio in the United States and internationally.
